Innovation the Only Way of Creating Peace and Employment, says Riftvalley Education Commisioner

Rift valley education commissioner John Lekakeny Ololtua has urged youths in the country to be more innovative and creative as it is the only way of enhancing peace and creating employment.

Ololtua, while speaking in Kilgoris during the one-year anniversary of the Eriroi Maa comedy, a local comedy that has created opportunities among the youths, also emphasized on the importance of electing leaders of vision in the next year’s poll.

“We need to fix this country right away from education to health to infrastructure, I urge all our youths here in Kilgoris to utilize their talents and better their lives,” he said.

The RC said that through talents, more can be achieved and the level of unemployment can be reduced drastically.

Concerning the 100 percent transition, the commissioner said that rift valley was on the verge of achieving 100 percent transition saying that 99 percent of the pupils have joined form one.

“No retreat to 100 percent transition target, I thank the CS Magoha for the efforts he has done, now we are going to do our best to achieve our goal of educating our children, I call upon every parents to take the initiative of taking his or her child to school,” he added.

He said that the CBC was going on smoothly in the region and thanked the national government for its efforts.

Edwin Kantai, the comedy group director, thanked the RC for supporting their initiative and urged him to continue the good work.

Kantai said that it was the idea of the group that they form a youtube channel to empower the society and help the growth of talents in the regions.

He added that since the group was formed a lot has been achieved.
