Lawyer Yashim Butende said that the police force lacks enough planes that required for them to work effectively especially when an emergency strikes.

Additionally, Lawyer Butende said that , if a quick solution is not found on time to address the issue, a catastrophy may strike in the coming days.

” The Kenya Police Force plays a vital role in promoting peace, law and order in our country. It’s so unfortunate that they continue operating with old choppers and outdated equipments, I urge the government to look into the matter,” said Lawyer Yashim.

The advocate urged the President to look into the matter as fast as possible so as to bring the issue to rest.

” Dear Mr. President, I kindly request that you move with speed and help the police force get some new advanced choppers and equipments. I request that the government retires some old police choppers before a calamity strikes,” he advised.

Lawyer Butende said that as per the constitution, the police are supposed to be empowered with some high quality equipments for them to do their work expeditiously .

He said that failing to empower the police amounts to constitutional violations and exposes citizens to even more risks and insecurities.

” Kenyans depends on the police especially when an emergency occurs. So it’s proper when we empower them( the police) with high quality equipment which includes advanced choppers for them to attend to some of their issues with ease,” Lawyer Yashim Added.
