In coming days, weeks or months, Moisbridge ward will mostly likely transform to a city the area Member of County Assembly Hon. Patrick Kimeli has said.
Kimeli while speaking exclusively to the press said that the Pakawa street that connects with the main road at Duka Moja will be constructed using bitumen to boost trade , improve transport and help in transforming the ward into a city. He said that other roads will also follow after that.
” We are going to construct the Pakawa street road using bitumen. Other Main roads are on our plans, We want to improve our infrastructure in Moisbridge and transform our ward into a city,” he said.
He also said that his administration will continue to promote trade and investments and at the same time support the less privileged people in the society.
Before Bishop Patrick Kimeli was elected into office, most residents in Moisbridge Ward used to pay abnormal taxes especially for small scale businessess.
For instance, opening a small business like a Kinyozi was a night mare for some residents.
” Before Bishop became our MCA we were paying alot of money to the county government for a licence , we were really suffering but today, we are very much okey, the amount was reduced to fit our pockets courtesy of the Bishop,” Said a Moisbridge based barber
Some Women at the Moisbridge shopping centre thanked the MCA for making sure that they remained at the main trading joints after some attempts to relocated them.
They said the MCA’s intervention saved their livelihood and vowed to elect him once again in 2027. They called him a captain of equality.
” We have never had such a good leader here in Moisbridge. He is always available and listens to our cries, he has never abandoned us I the hour of need. We are still in this market because of him,” she said.
