Rhythm Meets Culture as Collo and Nviiri Lead AfroLatin Tamasha Lineup

Legendary rapper Collo and award-winning singer Nviiri the Storyteller are set to headline the second edition of AfroLatin Tamasha, taking place this Saturday, 29th November, at REDROOM, Adlife Plaza, Kilimani.

Attendees will get the rare opportunity to watch Collo perform his new track “Rematch” alongside iconic hits such as Girl Like You and Floss na Wewe. Nviiri will thrill fans with favourites including Pombe Sigara and several other crowd-pleasers.

The performances will be elevated by Ritmo Connexion, an East African collective known for blending Afro-Latin beats into electrifying live sets. The ensemble features Mike Jozee, Sanchez Salvador, Niyo Boi, Shirleen Ishenyi, Keisha Harris, Moses Karanja and more.

This year’s theme, “Celebrating Rhythm, Culture and Connection,” will showcase a diverse lineup representing eight countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Burundi, South Africa, Ghana, France, Tunisia, and Kenya. The show will also feature a special performance by Malindi’s renowned Kikwetu Dancers.

AfroLatin Tamasha is a Pan-African cultural showcase celebrating the fusion of African and Latin American sounds. The festival brings together over 7,000 enthusiasts — dancers, music lovers and cultural fans — for an immersive experience of live Afro-Latin rhythms including salsa, kizomba, bachata, semba and afrobeats, complemented by vibrant social dance.

Top Nairobi DJs — Jam Mixmaster Dan the DJ and DJ D’Cure — will keep the dance floor alive with a dynamic blend of Afrobeat, Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Merengue, Kizomba and Kompa. High-energy Afrobeat dancers will further energize the stage with engaging visual performances.

AfroLatin Tamasha aims to connect artists and audiences across East and Southern Africa while reinforcing Nairobi’s position as a regional hub for Afro-Latin culture. The festival also seeks to foster artistic expression that contributes to the growth of Kenya’s creative economy. It is tailored for young professionals, creatives and trendsetters who value cultural exchange and the wellness benefits of dance.

Robert Munene, Founder of AfroLatin Tamasha, noted:

> “AfroLatin Tamasha 2.0 is an essential step towards our larger vision: connecting artists across East and Southern Africa, promoting wellness through dance, and turning rhythm into livelihood. We’ve curated an evening that promises even more excitement and showcases the vibrant fusion of African and Latin cultures through music and dance, reinforcing Nairobi as a regional hub for this movement.”

He added:

> “This event is about creating regular opportunities for our community to connect, celebrate and experience the richness of Afro-Latin culture. We invite everyone — from seasoned dancers to the simply curious — to join us for a night of unforgettable music and dance.”
