Fairview Hotel Nairobi, Vignette Collection, officially unveiled Pango Wine Cellar through an exclusive wine-paired dining experience that brought together business leaders, wine enthusiasts, media, content creators, and distinguished guests for an unforgettable evening of food, wine, and connection.
Held under the theme “Three Visionaries. Six Hands. One Unrivalled Evening,” the launch celebrated the opening of Fairview’s newest lifestyle offering with a six-course menu designed to showcase the artistry of food-and-wine pairing.
The evening featured a unique culinary collaboration between Fairview Hotel Nairobi, Vignette Collection Executive Chef Werner Blignaut and acclaimed guest Chefs Mesha Tarun and Wayne Walkinshaw, whose collective expertise and creativity transformed the launch into a multisensory experience. Together, the three chefs curated Story of the Cellar—a menu inspired by nature, provenance, and the stories behind every bottle and dish.

Guests embarked on a culinary journey through six thoughtfully crafted courses, each paired with exceptional wines selected to complement and elevate the dining experience.
Highlights included Tides of the North Sea, a kombu-cured mackerel paired with Domaine Tropez Rosé 2023; Song of the Wild, featuring quail three ways paired with Montes Pinot Noir 2023; and Ashes & Velvet, a slow braised Karoo lamb neck accompanied by Parker Coonawarra Estate First Growth Cabernet Sauvignon 2019.
