Samsung Launches Galaxy A27 5G in Kenya with AI Features and Infinity-O Display

Samsung Electronics has unveiled the Galaxy A27 5G in Kenya, expanding its popular Galaxy A series with a smartphone that combines an immersive display, powerful performance and AI-powered features designed to enhance everyday mobile experiences.

Building on the success of the Galaxy A26 5G, the new Galaxy A27 5G introduces meaningful upgrades, including Samsung’s Infinity-O display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and an expanded suite of intelligent features aimed at making productivity, creativity and entertainment more seamless.

Larger Infinity-O Display

The Galaxy A27 5G features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, delivering smoother scrolling, vibrant colours and a more immersive viewing experience.

Samsung has also introduced an Infinity-O display, replacing the traditional notch with a discreet punch-hole camera design that maximizes screen space while reducing distractions. The phone features a slim 7.8mm profile, making it comfortable to hold for extended periods.

Faster Performance

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, offering faster multitasking, smoother gaming and improved graphics performance.

Samsung says the upgraded chipset also improves power efficiency and supports faster memory performance, ensuring a responsive experience across everyday applications.

The Galaxy A27 5G also comes equipped with a 12MP front camera, capable of capturing brighter, more natural-looking selfies across different lighting conditions.

AI Features

Samsung continues to expand its Awesome Intelligence experience with several AI-powered tools on the Galaxy A27 5G.

Among the standout features is Circle to Search with Google, which now supports multi-object recognition, allowing users to search for several items within an image simultaneously, including clothing and accessories. Users can also virtually try on outfits directly from search results.

The improved Object Eraser enables cleaner photo editing by removing unwanted objects with more natural-looking results.

Meanwhile, Voice Transcription now supports real-time transcription and translation in 22 languages, making it easier to record meetings and conversations.

The smartphone also supports multiple AI assistants, including Google Gemini, Perplexity AI, and Samsung Bixby, with deeper integration across Samsung applications such as Gallery for more intuitive interactions.

Long-Term Software Support

Samsung says the Galaxy A27 5G will receive up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, alongside six years of security updates, reinforcing its commitment to long-term device support.

The device is protected by Samsung Knox with Knox Vault, providing hardware-based security for sensitive personal data.
