Moët & Chandon Unveils New Formula 1 Hospitality Experience

Moët & Chandon, the Official Champagne of Formula 1, strengthened its long-standing association with the sport at the FORMULA 1 MOËT & CHANDON BELGIAN GRAND PRIX 2026, celebrating excellence, teamwork and victory at one of motorsport’s most iconic circuits.

The race marked the champagne house’s second consecutive year as title sponsor of the Belgian Grand Prix under the 10-year global partnership between Formula 1 and LVMH.

Winners Kimi Antonelli, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen capped the weekend with the traditional champagne celebration, reinforcing a ritual that has become synonymous with Formula 1.

“At Spa-Francorchamps, victory has a special intensity for the drivers, the teams and the fans who share it,” said Sibylle Scherer, President and CEO of Moët & Chandon. “Our role is to create celebrations that honour the performance, teamwork and emotion behind every victory.”

Honouring a historic Formula 1 tradition

Spa-Francorchamps holds a special place in Formula 1 history, having featured on the championship calendar since the inaugural FIA World Championship in 1950. The circuit’s proximity to France’s Champagne region also underscores Moët & Chandon’s historic connection with the sport.

The partnership dates back to the 1950s when Formula 1 champions, including Juan Manuel Fangio, visited the Maison after victories. In 1950, Count Frédéric Chandon de Briailles presented a bottle of champagne to the winner of the Reims Grand Prix, establishing what would become Formula 1’s iconic podium champagne celebration.

A modern tribute to the Silver Jeroboam

This year’s Belgian Grand Prix also celebrated the return of the Silver Jeroboam Trophy, inspired by the silver champagne bottles that became symbols of Formula 1 victory during the 1996 and 1997 seasons.

The contemporary trophy was unveiled from a restored 1971 Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman, a historic vehicle long used by Moët & Chandon to host distinguished guests, including Formula 1 legends Alain Prost and Jean Todt.

Debut of ‘The Out Lap’ hospitality experience

Moët & Chandon also introduced The Out Lap, a new hospitality concept developed with Formula 1 and Moët Hennessy.

The experience took 12 guests on a moving dining journey around Spa-Francorchamps, stopping at famous corners including Raidillon, Eau Rouge, Pouhon and La Source. Former Formula 1 drivers shared stories from each section of the circuit, while Moët & Chandon Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez guided guests through champagne pairings matched with a menu created by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno.

The menu featured Brut Impérial, Grand Vintage 2016 and Grand Vintage Collection 1996 paired with dishes including langoustine, wagyu beef and foie gras.

Benoît Gouez said the experience combined the precision of motorsport with the craftsmanship of champagne, while Chef Yannick Alléno described Formula 1 and fine dining as sharing the same values of precision, teamwork and innovation.

The Belgian Grand Prix concluded with Moët & Chandon once again bringing its signature celebration to the Formula 1 podium, reinforcing a tradition that has linked the Maison with motorsport for more than seven decades.
