Likuyani Constituency Youthful Parliamentary Aspirant Clause Masika has urged authorities to conduct an intense probe into the deaths of former politicians Cyrus Jirongo and Enock Kibunguchi, citing suspicions of foul play.
Masika expressed concern over the circumstances surrounding both deaths in Lugari and Likuyani Constituencies. He visited MP Enock Kibunguchi’s family at their home to extend his condolences, emphasizing the need for accountability and a thorough investigation.
Cyrus Jirongo passed away following a mysterious accident and is scheduled for burial on December 30th. Days later, former MP Enock Kibunguchi reportedly died due to suspected food poisoning. Masika called for immediate action to establish the true causes of their deaths, highlighting the growing concerns of the local communities.
Elsewhere, Masika urged the government to address the rising cases of mysterious deaths affecting prominent leaders across the country. He stated,
“I urge the government to help unravel the increasing cases of mysterious deaths from both its side and the opposition side to bring the controversies to a halt.”
