A new opinion poll conducted in Kibra Constituency suggests that a prominent local CEO affiliated with the Omoh Foundation would win the parliamentary seat by a wide margin if elections were held today.
The survey, which sampled about 5,000 respondents across the constituency, indicates that the popular business leader enjoys significant support among residents.
According to the findings, the CEO would secure about 49 percent of the vote, placing him well ahead of his closest challenger, Hon. Peter Orero, who garnered 27 percent.
The remaining percentage was shared among other candidates in the race.
Residents interviewed during the poll attributed the CEO’s growing popularity to his visible presence in the community and his humanitarian work, particularly in informal settlements within the constituency.
Many say his consistent involvement in community initiatives and willingness to help residents during difficult times have made him a trusted figure.
“Whenever there is a problem in our area, he is among the first people to show up,” said Jane Achieng, a resident of Lindi. “Through his foundation we have seen support for families, youth programs and help for the vulnerable.
That is why many of us believe he deserves a chance to represent Kibra.”
Another resident, David Otieno from Makina, said the CEO has demonstrated leadership qualities that could translate well into governance.
“He listens to people and he acts,” Otieno said. “Leadership is not just about politics but about service. From what we have seen, he has the heart and the ability to lead Kibra and push for development.”
Supporters argue that his blend of philanthropy, accessibility and business experience positions him as a strong contender should the constituency head to the polls.
Political observers note that while opinion polls can shift as campaigns intensify, the findings highlight the growing influence of community-driven leaders in Kibra’s political landscape.
