Kenyans can’t get enough of Kibra CEO, Mr. Nicholus Okach, whose viral video showing him donating goods to fire victims has captured hearts across the country.

While his charming smile and genuine dimple have many calling him “adorable,” it’s his heartfelt actions that are making a lasting impact in the community.
In the viral clip, Okach is seen interacting with residents of Kibera, whose homes were destroyed in a recent fire. His comforting words, “Nafanya Kidogo na ingine Mungu atamalizia, Wamama Hoyee, Mimi ndo CEO na hakuna CEO mwingine sawa?” have struck a chord with many, cementing his place as a hero in the slums.

“Kumbe ni huyu, nalonalo, Wacha nibadilishe kura yangu niende Kibera, Mapema ndo best,” said one excited resident, Ann Q.

Others have gone as far as calling him the “next Ken Okoth,” with one remarking, “Huyu msee anatesa sana, sema ku spoil watu wa Kibra with goodies, the next Ken Okoth in town.”

While Okach’s growing popularity is undeniable, his political future remains uncertain. He has yet to declare which party he will run with, but many in the community are already rallying behind him, suggesting that his name alone on the ballot could be enough to win their votes.
“Eti Chama! Huyu tunataka tu jina yake hapo kwa ballot, hyo ingine tutajua,” said another Kibra resident, hinting at their readiness to back Okach for a leadership role in the area.

As veteran politicians struggle to stay relevant, Okach’s down-to-earth nature and his willingness to stand by Kibra residents in their time of need are winning him support in droves.

If he does choose to run for Member of Parliament, it seems that the people of Kibra are ready to make him their next leader and to his opponents, the writing is on the wall.
