A Survey conducted by Sauti Africa shows that City Lawyer Danstan Omari will easily win the Nairobi Senatorial Race if elections were to be held today.
According to the Survey conducted between January 10 to March 3, 2025, Lawyer Danstan Omari stands a good chance of defeating other contestants thanks to his early official announcement that he will be contesting to be the next city Senator.
The Survey was conducted through various social media platforms including Whatsapp, facebook, instagram and through direct phone calls where over 5000 respondents were engaged.
“Most of those whom we conducted said that they have only heard of Lawyer Danstan Omari as the only candidate who has publicly announced that he will be vying to be the next Nairobi Senator in the next polls,” Said Gilbert Nyakoe, the Firms Chief Executive officer.
According to the CEO, the respondents said that Lawyer Danstan Omari publicly announced his bid for the seat and the same announcement were aired on TV screens hence their decision to support him.
The CEO said that most of those who participated in the survey were youths and businessmen who believed that current corruption and confusion witnessed in Nairobi County was as a result of a weak senator who has completely failed to put the governor in check.
” Some respondents believed that the County Governor lacks a strong Senator who can put him in check and because of Lawyer Danstan Omari’s courage, they believe that he was the best candidate for the senate,” the CEO added.
The Survey did not consider the incumbent Senator Sifuna in the race as he had already declared his bid to unseat Governor Johnson Sakaja.
Ironically Sifuna recently at a public function announced that he may quit elective politics if needs be.
