In what seems to be like a common language of understanding, Nairobi Genzs have kept off todays protest a day after Lawyer Danstan Omari urged them to do do.
This incidents gives a serious communication to the incumbent Nairobi Senator whom the Genzs have accused of sleeping on the same bed with the dictatorial regime. They have frequently accused Senator Edwin Sifuna of not standing with them in courts and turning up in their hour of needs.
Speaking to the press in Nairobi today, they said that Lawyer Danstan Omari remains to be their leader whom they respect so much and that his words were final especially on the City matters.
” Lawyer Danstan Omari is one candidate for the Nairobi Senate Seat. His words are final, we shall be going to Kamukunji ground for entertainment from the older man,” they told the press.
They added, ” We want Lawyer Danstan Omari to continue standing with us during our difficult times as he had always done, we are almost reaching there and we shall reward him at the ballot,” another one added.
There announcement and decision comes after Danstan Omari through his communication team released a statement on Friday calling for calm order and a protest free Sabasaba Anniversary scheduled for today.
Omari in his statement thanked them for endorsing him for the Nairobi Senate seat but called for calm and order in today’s Sabasaba anniversary .
” I want to urge the Genzs, especially those from Nairobi not to march to the CBD tommorow, i want them to mark the Sabasaba anniversary through their TVs or through visiting the sick, the elderly and advising the state on their social media pages, let us not loss our lives tommorow,” said Omari yesterday.
On the same note, the celebrated advocate urged the police not to use force to anyone during the entire event.
” If at all any person will turn up in the streets tommorow, let the police not use force against him or her, as you no tommorow is a normal working day and we expect some Kenyans in the CBD,” he added.
Omari becomes the first person who directly talked to the Genzs and successfully urged them to stop protesting.
Last year during the Ant-Finance bill protest, the Genzs endorsed him for the Nairobi Senate and he has since declared that he is on the race.
Recently during a radio show, the vibrant advocate insisted that he was still in the race and vowed to unseat the incumbent
