The Young Lawyers of Kenya (YoK) has announced that its upcoming Gala Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, 22nd November 2025, is officially sold out following a successful week-start engagement with prominent advocate Mr. Wanyama Peter Manyonge Ong’urapus (PMO).
In a visit made by the YoK Secretariat on Monday morning, Mr. Wanyama hosted the team at his offices where he was formally invited to the dinner. During the meeting, he pledged strong support for the event, donating KES 200,000 as sponsorship and booking an additional table worth KES 48,000, bringing his total contribution to KES 248,000.
According to the Secretariat, Mr. Wanyama expressed confidence in YoK’s leadership and operational structure, noting that he was willing to offer further support whenever needed. His remarks were welcomed as a boost to the organisation’s growing reputation within the legal fraternity.
YoK leadership thanked Mr. Wanyama for his “unwavering commitment to growth, mentorship, and professional advancement” among young advocates and the wider membership of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK).
With the event officially fully booked, YoK confirmed that dinner subscriptions are now closed. Organisers say a detailed event poster will be released later in the week.
The Gala Dinner is expected to bring together young advocates and senior members of the bar for an evening of networking, reflection, and celebration.
