Mate disclosed to the court that the suspect, Benson Limo alias Benson Leng’olenyang is the main suspect in the case he is investigating after the Judge’s complaint. He urged the court to intervene so that the suspect reveals his identity, what he does for a living and where he stays.

He told the court that the man is Evasive and Fictious.

That the Petition and the affidavit of Benson Limo are telling and shows the petitioner, Benson Limo is a person who is either Evasive or Fictious , and this court should at earliest opportunity direct that unless he discloses who is he, where he works or what he does for gain as a ‘ law’ abiding citizen as he describes himself, let the court compel him to reveal his identity, personal contact and his address, ” the detective told the court in a replying affidavit in which the petitioner was seeking block the DPP and the DCI from arresting him.

The detective told the court in his affidavit that , the Judge visited their offices and explained how the suspects and others were causing him stress and tormenting him and his family.

The detective revealed that the suspect had sent messages to the Judge claiming that he took Sh10 million bribe through his contact person and failed to do them a favour as they agreed.

The detective revealed that their accusations were strange as the Judge did not know them and never knew what they were talking about.

It has been revealed that the Judge’s problem began in Mombasa during a Colloquium for Judges when he received the said messages.

The detective told the court in an affidavit that the Judge received strange message from Ben Limo demanding for Sh10 million that he had received earlier as bribe through his contact person. He also reported the matter to the DCI and obtained the search warrant against Mr.Limo.

Ironically, after Limo and his accomplice knew that their attempted extortion plan had backfired, they rushed to court and changed the story claiming that the Judge owes them a loan of Sh10million.

” That sometimes within 2024 and 2025 the Petitioner here in as a honest citizen advanced a personal loan of Sh 10 million to the Judge who failed to pay,” Benson Limo told the court through his advocate.

The detective is now requesting that the petitioner provides his person details or the orders be dismissed as he was trying to defeat justice.

” I pray that if the petitioner does not provide his personal details immediately, then the court should treat him a non-existent person or a person out to defeat justice,” he said in an affidavit.

The detective said that the Judge provided all the evidence to prove that he received threats, intimidations and blackmail from Limo and the group.

“I asked the Hon.’Judge to print the screenshots of the
messages sent to his phone by the numbers of the individuals whom he stated he did not know, in order for them to accompany his Statement and he readily did so,” said the detective.

The detective also wants the court to order him ( Limo) to reveal what he does for gain, his contact address and his official contacts.

The detective states that the Judge in his report revealed that he faced a lot of cyber harassment , threats and he feared for his life.

The court heard that the detectives took the Judge’s phone and did some forensics investigations.

For instance Benson Limo himself sent a whatsApp message to the Judge. The court papers shows.

” Good afternoon Judge, this is Limo friend to your good friend Opar, I have shared a demand letter on our demand for Sh 10 million , kindly check,” he said.

Another message from a strange number alledgly linked to the petitioner’s associates threatened the Judge, the detective said.

” The Hon Judge received initial threat of being captured and lowered ” alive with a stone tied to his legs to swim with fishes and in Lake Victoria,” detective mate said.
The detective said that the content of the messages he received from Mr.Limo and Associates were associated with a tweet done Mr.Nelson Havi Ndugu.
