Omohhomes Chief Executive Officer Nicholus Okach is emerging as the frontrunner for the Real Estate Person of the Year 2025 award, as public voting which has attracted thousands of participants enters its final hours and closes tonight.
Latest figures show Okach with an impressive 3,260 votes, placing him comfortably ahead of his closest competitor, who currently stands at 2,145 votes. The close contest has stirred significant interest across the real estate industry, with Kenyans continuing to cast their ballots before the midnight deadline. Winners will be officially recognized during a ceremony scheduled for February.
When reached out for comment, Okach said he remained optimistic about the outcome.
“I’m hopeful for a win,” he said briefly, noting that the support from the Omohhomes community has been overwhelming.
Under Okach’s leadership, Omohhomes has positioned itself as one of the most trusted players in the off-plan property market — a sector often challenged by misinformation, delayed projects, and limited investor education.
Okach has previously said that the motivation behind founding Omohhomes was to reshape how real estate information is delivered.
“Many people were selling property, but very few were educating investors. We wanted to change that,” he noted.
In pursuit of this mission, the firm runs the popular property education podcast “What Experts Have to Say,” which features developers, lawyers, financiers, designers, and policy experts who provide insights to help buyers make informed decisions.
Today, Omohhomes offers a full-service real estate model, including project vetting guidance, property selection, mortgage support, investor onboarding, construction monitoring, interior design coordination, and long-term property management.
The company says it now operates globally, serving clients both locally and internationally and partnering exclusively with vetted developers known for consistent delivery.
With more than 250 investors served around the world, Okach’s strong performance in the ongoing vote is widely viewed as a major sign of confidence from both the public and industry stakeholders.
