Kibera CEO Claims Raila’s Blessing as He Declares Kibra ‘Captured,’ Dares Critics

A storm is brewing in Kibra after a prominent Kibera-based CEO boldly declared the constituency his political stronghold, insisting that his rise was sanctioned by former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and vowing to silence critics through action on the ground.

Speaking at a function today, the CEO said his journey to “capture Kibra” began years ago under Raila Odinga’s watch, long before the current political realignments.

“I thank former Prime Minister Raila Odinga for nurturing my political ambitions and believing in my vision for Kibra,” he said.

“Let it be clear, I have no intentions whatsoever of giving critics any leeway. Kibra is already decided.”

The declaration has ignited debate across the constituency, with rivals accusing the CEO of premature celebrations.

However, he brushed off the criticism, saying his humanitarian track record speaks louder than political noise.

“This is not empty talk. This is work that people can see and touch,” he said.

According to the CEO, hundreds of families have benefited from his charity initiatives, including school fees, food donations, and emergency assistance.

“We have educated children who had dropped out of school due to lack of fees. We have fed families during the toughest times.

We have paid hospital bills and supported widows and youth groups,” he stated.

“That is why the people stand with us.”

Residents interviewed backed his claims, crediting his outreach programs for changing lives in the informal settlement.

“When schools were sending children home, he stepped in with bursaries,” said a resident. “Others were just talking—he was acting.”

Another resident added, “He distributed food when hunger hit hard. That is why many of us say Kibra belongs to him.”

Despite mounting political pressure and online criticism, the CEO remained defiant, warning his opponents that the ground had already shifted.
“Critics can talk. I am building,” he said. “Kibra is no longer a battleground—it is my stronghold.”

The remarks are expected to further heat up the political temperature in Kibra as the race for influence intensifies.
