Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has announced plans to construct a 620-bed student hostel at Mang’u Technical and Vocational College in Kiambu County at a cost of KSh320 million.

Kindiki said the project is expected to commence as part of the government’s ongoing development programme aimed at improving infrastructure and expanding access to essential services.

The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, during his visit to inspect national government development projects in Gatundu North Constituency, where he addressed residents at Gachege Centre.

The proposed hostel is expected to expand student accommodation capacity at the institution, although the Deputy President did not specify the construction timeline or the expected completion date.
