Nairobi’s premier throwback event, The Millennials Cookout, is back—promising a reunion many didn’t know they needed. On Saturday, 4th July 2026, Ngong Racecourse will host a vibrant celebration of the 90s and 2000s, blending high-energy nostalgia with the city’s best food, music, fashion, and social connection.
Curated as an all-day escape, the event kicks off at midday, inviting guests to soak in the sunshine, and runs until midnight—striking the perfect balance between a lively celebration and the millennial preference for an early night.
This year’s edition will feature a “Millennials Playground,” designed to recreate and relive childhood memories, alongside more interactive experiences, an expanded lineup of food vendors, and surprise performances to elevate the day. Previous editions have consistently drawn thousands, united by a shared sense of nostalgia and community energy.
In line with the event’s premium hospitality standards, ample seating will be provided to ensure a relaxed, comfortable, and seamless guest experience.
The entertainment lineup includes DJ Emvy spinning the best of African hits, DJ Kronikx delivering Caribbean sounds, Shema on Hip Hop and R&B, and UV bringing House and EDM classics from the 90s and 2000s.
Anchored on the theme of friends, food, and fun, the event embraces a Rodeo Chic dress code, adding a stylish twist to the nostalgic experience. This edition further cements the Cookout as a must-attend fixture on Nairobi’s social calendar.
